A connection to community and a commitment to leave something of lasting value and quality have been the guiding principles of Galis Properties for over four decades.
After graduating from UGA with a BBA in Real Estate, Chuck Galis spent 13 years learning and understanding the real estate business before undertaking his first development project. The experience and knowledge he gained during that time gave the Robinson-Humphrey company confidence in Galis Properties’ ability to successfully complete The Milledge Commons Financial Center in 1983.
Since that first project, the company’s focus has been developing investment-grade properties in the Athens market and includes a long list of achievements such as The Historic Georgian, The Village at Cedar Shoals, The Bank of America Building, Oakbrook Corporate Campus, and WestPark Center among others.
Jane Galis, also a graduate of UGA’s business school, majored in Accounting. As the Chief Financial Officer of Galis Properties, she is responsible for managing development budgets for numerous complex, multi-million-dollar real estate projects. Additionally, she oversees the property management and property owners’ association functions of the business and works closely with architects and land planners during the design phase of each project.
Both Chuck and Jane have strong ties to the Athens Community. Their belief in creating projects of exceptional quality and durability is the driving force behind their work. Ansonborough was recognized by the Athens Grow Green Coalition as Best Development of the Year for its environmental friendliness and focus on the community. #LoveWhereYouLive
